Can anyone explain Phantom stalling?

since falco can grab the edge from the phantasm at a little below the edge, what you do is:
let go of edge (press away from edge), then phatasm (preferably towards the edge, unless you plan on doing an awesome sd ko). so it goes like this: away, toward, b. just do the control stick work correctly.

from what i've been told (i don't actually use this technique, it isn't that good) it's not actually a true stall like the firestall. at the end of the phantasm, you've lost you edge invincibility, so it's merely an "edgegaurding" (or excessively flashy, not saying there's anything wrong with being flashy...) technique.

Yep it doens't provide complete invincibility but another thing you can do is fall, wall jump, then phantasm into the ledge.

If you watch my video Mathos on FoD, i do that exact same vs Eggz and get burned doing it. XD

Lol. I don't usually watch vids, but just because it happens once doesn't mean it always results in death. And you weren't really edgestalling you were trying to recover and got mindgamed
