Can anyone confirm a sweetspot for me?

I don't get to play often because of work, but I was wondering if mk's sword has a sweet spot like roy's. Sometimes I get kills at lower percents when I shouldn't with the fair. It's usually off the edge when my mk is litterally on top of my opponent. I'd say it was bad DI but I get the freeze frame (on the third hit) just like marth's tipper. Also, when you d-tilt and you are really close, you clip your opponent. I know his nair has a sweet spot like this, but no freeze frame...
Can anyone check this out or was this discussed already?

I don't think the sword itself has a sweetspot. Or if it does, it doesn't have a very large effect. I think the second hit of the dsmash is stronger, and the nair is stronger when you hit closer to the center with it. But other than that, I don't think there is a sweetspot.

I try to pay attention to where I hit with the sword when I attack and hitting with the tip on a fair seems to do the same as hitting closer to the hilt.

No there is no sweet spot but on your fair they will only launch on the last hit
