Can a japanese wii play wifi against people on the american wii??

It would be really really helpful if someone can tell me if the japanese wii can play wifi with people that use an american wii!!!

not necessarily. i've played with people in japan, and there was hardly any lag.

And not necesarily has to be a Japanese Wii in Japan, it could be in the USA being Japanese, so theres a chance there wont be lag.
