Lately, in For Glory mode, I've been noticing that 4 of every 5 opponents will use a projectile based character (or anyone that has a projectile move) to spam and camp far away. This is the problem with having FD as the only playable stage. The only way I can get close is by jumping over the projectile, shielding, or dodging through. All options are very punishable.
What is the best technique and character to step up my game. I won't consider camping to counter a camper, it ruins the game and it's boring.

First of all, accept that camping is part of the game. Playing a lot of zoning characters as I do, you need to understand that it's a viable strategy. If you can't counter it, that only proves that notion. Some characters, like Robin and Duck Hunt, almost rely on their projectiles to seize victory.

That being said, I'd recommend a character with a reflect option (e.g. Pit, Dark Pit, Palutena, Zelda, Fox, Falco) if you want to use that as a part of your overall strategy, or somebody with good rushdown capabilities (e.g. Captain Falcon, Sheik, Diddy, Little Mac) that can get stuck in before the projectiles become to much of an issue.

A lot of zoners aren't as capable up close as they are from afar (there are, of course, exceptions), so you'll want to try and take advantage of that if you can. Getting into their comfort zone and smacking 'em down hard and fast can upset their paradigm and force them to retreat or rethink their tactics. Again, this is not always the case, and you may need to readjust (or just try something else) if all comes to all.

Honestly, there's no dead-set rule for punishing campers, since it depends wildly on who you are and who your opponent is. Study the character matchups closely and figure out what works best for you in that particular context.

Run up while you powershield the projectiles and hit/grab them, that's really all you need to do against for glory players. 99% of them are incredibly predictable and easy to read
