I was just wondering something: How many people think they should remove camera mode? It was special mode introduced in melee. While it provided some funny moments and cool action scenes, it takes up a fair bit of space and a lot of pros don't care for it.

So, what do you think?

Keep it... 4 NGC controllers and a Wiimote as the camera movement... Hoi, that'll be great... Also, you'll be seeing a lot of combo videos, I'll tell you that...

Keep it, and improve it.

It would be awesome if they also made "normal" camera movement a possiblility [actually, I'm unsure if it already does]. It would even better if Camera Mode can also do videos, and save both images and videos to SD cards, which you can upload to a computer.

I can't afford a capture device, so this would work really well. A 1019 memory card was 8MB, so now imaging a 256MB SD card. :)

Thats about 8X1019=8152 blocks. If each image was 10 blocks, then thats 812 images.

Waiting for reason to purchase a Wii
I don't see why they would take it out. I mean if their building the game off of the same engine it should not be to hard to port over the programing, right? Not to mention the Wii is now using DVDs so storage should not be a problem. This just depends if Nintendo would pay for it.

Edit: I did not mean DVD burner, I just meant room to hold the necessary data for the program.

The Wii does not have a DVD burner, SD would be better.

Edit: Also, how will an empty DVD disc fit when SSBB is already in there?

After seeing many great shots from that mode, they have to keep it.

I suppose keep camera mode in, with new SD cards, we would be able to upload the file directly from the camera mode to our computers! Or perhaps a snapshot button while pausing would do?

Also, the wii has 2 usb hubs at the back, and is also able to send e-mail, so perhaps we could send our pics to our regular email addys to cut the hassle of all them wires!

I think an actually camera mode should be cut, but with the ability to take snapshots and start recording videos at any time.

I never thought of that. Maybe Brawl could be directly connected to the Photo Channel...with Fox_Rock's idea implemented to show gamers anywhere anytime their best games.

They should keep it because it's good for the levels. (Well except for Hyrule when 1 person is at the top right and the rest are underground fighting then we have a problem).
Fixed camera mode is pretty good too because it allows the whole level to be seen but it hinders your concentrtation.

Ending your game.
I made some pretty awesome pictures with that camera. If it was available on the Wii, it might be easier to share and send to friends. You could also send them to the internet and share there. The possible custom banners and avatars could be a much wider range. If there was a camera mode, it could possibly be done with the Wii remote with the nunchuk, so 4 people can take pictures together instead of 3. I want to share my bob-omb feats!

If camera mode is included, it would be much easier on Wii. It's a hassle to take just one picture in Melee, and it takes up so much memory...

Fox_Rock, you stole my idea [just kidding]. Well, that said, I do REALLY want videos. :D

I want the images saved as jpegs. I don't want to go through the hassle of hooking up my Wii to my computer again.

I say camera mode should go. Instead, we should be able to snapshot from the pause screen.
No no, camera mode should not go. Although snapshots from pause screen would be a bonus. The pause screen is rather limited in Camera Movement. You could use camera mode to control the camera as well, and use the pause snapshot button in order to take the pictures from a real match. :D

And yes, I do want them to be JPEGs. :D

The camera mode is a fun feature designed to capture screen-shots, and thats all!
They left a massive gap for improvment to the feature such as recording, putting battle in slow-mo/speed up, and possibly even editing the screen-shots as u can do on the Wii console anyway.
it would be a fun and new feature that i am sure that everyone would have fun playing with.
I say keep it for that sake of having fun!

Personally i put it in camera mode for dynamic angles while using a capture device. If it goes, it'll really hurt all those smash movie makers out there.

I've only used it twice in the five years I've had Melee >__>

But I suppose if Brawl allows us to save crystal-clear jpegs them I'm all for it.

I'm fine with camera mode, doesn't bother me if it's in there or not. But PLEASE improve on stamina mode! Percent altering and lives? Just make the characters fizzle out or something when they die. It's a really fun melee but it's too dern short. OH! THEY COULD MAKE THE CORPSES PROJECTILES UNTIL THEY WERE DESTROYED AND RESURRECTED! sweeeeeeeet...

Keep it and improve it so that it's decent. I'm talking videos, son.

Given, that'd probably fill up the Wii **** quickly...but that's what SD cards are for.

First off. Heads will ROLL if they use JPEGs! Oh the hate that will be flowing from me...

*ahem*

I imagine not a camera "mode" as much as an "option." Make in-game camera operations a special option. (Unlockable?) Wii remote control sounds like a good idea. When paused, full camera control should be provided (with or without the camera option) along with screenshot buttons. That is something I believe Melee should have been capable of.

Taking videos? I approve. Though there is the space issue. I already have a 1 GB SD card. (Or maybe 2, can't remember.) Perhapse they'll provide developers a way to connect to PCs with a USB for extra space some day.

Now then..

You are definitely my son.

And I would really like just a standard built in thing that shows the 'play of the game' thing.

I think saving videos onto SD Card would be a waste. Capture Devices are really cheap...

I bought my Capture Device 3 years ago and it was $100. Then like... A year ago? I checked and it was down to $50. And now it's discontinued. I'm pretty sure you can get one now for really cheap. I think there's one for like 15 bucks. If you can't afford that, then how are you gonna afford a SD card lol
