I already own an OG 3ds but I'm considering buying an extra copy of the game and a 2ds so I can play vs with my brothers. Does anyone have any complaints about using the 2ds for smash?

Nope, it's fine.
As long as you have relatively small hands. Big Hands don't do so well on our loveable block-of-cheese.

That's kind of a problem, I have pretty big hands. Do they make cases for it that might alleviate the problem?
I have no idea.
I'm 15, so my little hands may be just me exxagerating, but i dunno. They're pretty small compared to other people's hands.

The shoulder buttons are extremely comfortable. I think it's a great system for smash

I recommend a grip for anyone who has a 3DS or 2DS that gets cramps over long hours of play or thinks the 3DS is uncomfortable. I only see 2 out on the market, but I hear the one with trigger grips included is good. Check it out: http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/accessories/2ds-trigger-grips/113622

(Also, I've gone through Mario Kart 7 Marathons and I have fairly decent sized hands. Am I the only one who doesn't get hand cramps through hours of play and eye problems with 3D on through those hours?)

I think a lot of it comes down to how you hold your hands. I'm a semi-pro saxophonist (17 years old, so school is a thing too, lol) and I've found that with just about anything involving repeated finger motions it's very important to keep your wrists straight so you're not putting undue strain on your carpals. Some people do this naturally and just never run into problems. Others can get by with bad ergonomics for a while, but I know I certainly can't.

With that in mind I can play just about anything for pretty long periods of time, but if I slip up I start to feel it pretty quickly. And I definitely want to make sure the 2ds will allow for me to maintain proper posture.
