C-sticking Aerials

Okay, I have to ask this simply because it's bothering the hell out of me. My friend has been going off on me for not C-sticking my aerials(I use directional A) and, I tried doing it, and honestly, I don't see much point with Ness. So I'm asking you, masters of Ness, WHAT IS YOUR GRAND OPINION ON THE SUBJECT?! To C-stick or not to C-stick, that is the question. Also, fuzzy or non-fuzzy pickles?

non fuzzy pickles

anyways, it's better to c-stock with ness cause of retreating DJC fairs, i always use the c-stick with ness for aerials but that's just me

but when doing a fast DJC (meaing X or Y to up), c-stick is better to get the right aerial out

My biggest problem is that distance between the XY buttons and that yellow *******, my fingers just won't go there fast enough, and my FAST DjC turns into....a double jump with an attack tied onto it.

Edit: ******* is censored? Wow...

Ness is the only character that I don't c-stick my aerials with. :) For me, it's actually more convenient to use direction+A. Most of my offense consists of DJC aerials. When I DJC, I use (while holding left or right if needed) Y, Y, A for nair/bair/fair and up, up, A for DJC nairs.

The only time I can think of using the c-stick is if you wanna DJC uairs easier. Y, Y (right thumb), c-up (left thumb).

I play weird.

I play wierd also (Z-cancel :dizzy:)

To me it's way easier to use the A-directional, C-stick is too far of a reach. I think it boils down to personal preference, whatever is comfortable for you.

Non fuzzy.

On topic, I use directional A as well. Maybe it's because I used to play Falco, and I just got used to using control stick for pillaring and stuff. Like the above poster said, it's a matter of preference.

C Stick got his Ipod jacked? That sucks. Ademisk, it's cause I'm an ex-Falco player. They all like their pickles clean. Don't worry though, I'm breaking bad habits.

56k, I agree and reiterate all of your post, because that is exactly how I do my stuff. I don't like the feel of X, up. so I just use xxa. of course, I have difficulty u-air juggling (the initial u-air more than anything else), so my strategy may not be the most robust.

And the photographer will not simply drop out of the sky and say "clean pickles"-- that wouldn't make sense.

edit: I would actually use up, up, cstick for uairs. My thumbs press things quickly.

lol.
i was playing some noobs today, he was DK and i was ness,
he thought he was gonna be cool and use his down b on me right after i do a move, but my djc uairs were too much for him so you only got to see the first few frames of the animation of DK's down b.

MANY TIMES OVER!!

He was like WTF MAN?!?!

I sometimes use the c-stick for aerials, but only when we're flying high above the ground. Even then, the A button takes advantage of his short jump.

I C-Stick my aerials with Ness, but if the intention is to do so I jump with the Control Stick, so I don't have the problem of going from X or Y to the c-stick.

I'd say if you Cstick aerials you may have better DI because you have thumbs on both the control stick and the Cstick. Assuming you're jumping with the control stick.

yeah, but when I attack, I use my momentum from the Control stick, so it goes from forward, to up, and then to whatever direction I want to DI my attack, and it lessens the effect, or ruins my spacing.

I only use cstick when i do an uair without djcing. This is so that i dont double jump by accident. Other then that i never cstick.

ness is one of the few characters I dont use the c-stick for when it comes to aerials. Maybe for the random djc b-air while running in the opposite direction, but thats about it
