What do you all think is better? I can't figure out which one to use. I have a lot of trouble being consistent with tilts. I smash way too often when I don't want to and I feel like the c-stick can help with that. Are there real benefits of one vs the other?

I personally have it set to tilts. This is both to allow for unrestricted air movement while performing aerials (there's that annoying glitch where it drops control stick input), and because I am unable to perform a tilt on a moment's notice with the control stick (I end up smashing) . I hear that using the c-stick for smash attacks lets you do reverse forward smashes easier, but I'd gladly give up that to do tilts on command.

Same here I've been playing with marth a lot lately and I keep smashing when I mean to due tilts which makes me miss alot of counter hits and so forth. I may have to switch my c stick to tilts myself and see what happens.

Really? It's the exact opposite for me. I want to smash with the buttons and end up tilting.
