C-Stick Problems

I have my c-stick to attack and it works fine in the change controls menu, but whenever I go into a match it just goes back to smash? Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you reinstalled? Have you added anything custom to your build?

I mean that even though I have my c-stick set to attack, it smashed during matches. Yes I have tried reinstalling and nothing custom.

like, all time it smashes? or is there a specific instance?

Specifically down smash and up smash. The sides are actually fine

are you trying to do it while crouching?

From what i remember, from years back, it's a result of coding that makes the normal c stick work like melee.

Brawl did something weird, and PM fixed that, but unfortunately messes up cstick set to attack when crouching or something.

I think brawl Cdown + crouch did a dtilt instead of a smash.
PM it does a smash

That is very odd, but regardless if I crouch or not, it smashes anyway.
