C-Stick issues in Dolphin Project M

So I've been having this problem ever since I started playing project m. For some odd reason, whenever I start playing in an actual match, my c-stick will only take one input before quitting out. After that one input, it won't work at all until the match is over. On the menu however, I'm able to move the screen around with the c-stick freely without any issue.

Has anyone else had this problem and can help a brother out? I will pay you in love and affection.

Press the GCPad button in the main Dolphin window. Should be near the top right.
I'm sorry, I may be mistaken. Is this the Dolphin launcher?

Or are we talking about two different things?

Ever since I've played PM my C-stick will only work occasionally. It can be pretty infuriating when I try to throw an aerial and nothing comes out, or when I go for an upsmash and I end up just standing there.

My C-stick works flawlessly in Melee, as well.

Edit: I'm messing around in the controller settings with Mario. The game is registering my c-stick inputs fine, but no attack comes out...

@ VitaminStevie VitaminStevie , Dolphin is a Wii/GC emulator. You play it on your computer- that's what they're talking about. There aren't really controller settings for playing on a console. Unless you just want custom controls, which is in-game.

As DrinkingFood said, you have the wrong idea. Sorry for the confusion - I'm always worried that people will misunderstand what Dolphin is, and now it happened.

As for an explanation of your problem, Brawl and Melee parse c-stick inputs differently. In Brawl, the stick must be returned to a perfectly neutral state in order to be used again, which can be a problem if your controller is worn out - since it never reaches that true neutral state, it "locks up." Try holding X+Y+Start (I believe that's the combination? Someone confirm.) at the character selection screen in-game. That should reset your controller, which might fix the problem.
