C-Stick Being Troublesome

Hullo all! New here. Recently, while playing P:M, I realised that my C-Stick can no longer perform smashes and aerials. It can occasionally and at random be used for a dsmash, but more often than not will simply do nothing. The C-Stick performs all its other intended functions but flat-out refuses to work for me in-match. Nothing seems to have happened to the controller itself. The stick doesn't seem jammed or stuck. My control settings are the same as they've always been. The inputs were coming out in one match and in the very next, but a minute later, it simply stopped working.

This is rather frustrating as the benefit of a C-Stick was one of the reasons a largely casual player like myself even purchased a GameCube controller in the first place. I can't return it (I pitched the receipt a couple days ago, irritatingly enough) and I'm hoping it's a bug or there is an inexpensive solution, short of buying a new remote altogether, as the retailer I got it from has no more in stock.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

The c-stick has to return completely to neutral position in-between uses. Maybe you aren't letting that happen before flicking it.

Nah, trying it raw. No luck.

EDIT: Maybe it's jammed out of neutral?? It doesn't seem to be...

EDIT AGAIN: It's fixed??? I guess it was just a bug.
