Not just never talk, but not make any vocal sounds AT ALL.

Leave it to the imagination of the players.

Come on, people. Voice Acting is not Ninty's Forte. They also can't make a good story, either.

None of their characters should ever make a vocal sound. It's better that way.

Stop being stupid.

The last time we left something like that to the players for so long, we got the Internet Backdraft bad from Other M.

Voice acting not their forte? They've really stepped up their game in voice acting quality in the last few years. Kid Icarus Uprising and Fire Emblem Awakening are two very good examples.

Besides, we've had vocal sounds for characters for decades now. You could even go as far back as the Mario and Zelda cartoons if you really wanted to.Unless you want the cast to be completely silent, even more so than how Link is now, the characters will be voiced in some capacity.

We know you are deaf OP.

That doesn't mean you have to go all neo-nazi on those of us that can hear.

Why would they suddenly stop having voice grunts for the characters, after years of having them? What kind of logic is this?

Sure, Nintendo still doesn't have a good reputation regarding voice acting, considering games like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn or Metroid: Other M, but they have begun to change that with Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening, which cast well-known and more talented voice actors from the video game and anime industries.

I'm actually curious to see how will the voice acting be in this game. I wouldn't be surprised if Pit's voice actor from Uprising reprises the role, same for Chrom if he makes in the game. Pokémon Trainer could have the same voice actor as Red from Pokémon Origins (who also voices Henry in FE: Awakening).

Of course, this is all subjective, but it is generally agreed that Nintendo has got better regarding voice acting. Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening are the best examples of that.
