Button Check is a monthly hosted by the UC Merced Smash Club. This is our second event this year, of our monthly Button Check series. Melee and Project M will have doubles and singles, we are also having a smash 4 side event this time. Project M and Melee will both be streamed simultaneously. Button Check #1 we saw ThunderzReign, Brannondorf, RedX, Dizzy, Spark, D..P, and more. We had more than 80 unique entrants, an amazing turnout, and we hope to see the same again!

New note: We would love to have you travel, and as such, if you travel 90+ miles to come to the tournament, we will waive up to 4 players venue fee from your car.

Please bring set ups, the more setups we have, the faster the tournament can run, and the more friendlies you can play. Additionally if you need to contact us for any reason and do not have a Facebook, you can do so at our twitter.

- Custom Fighters is set to OFF
- Mii Fighters are legal. Each setup will have 1Â1Â1Â1 Mii Brawlers/Swordsmen/Gunners available for use (Using Default A-F standard size Miis provided on console). No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed. Players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup.
- Amiibos are not allowed
- Best of 3 sets, top 8 will be best of 5
- If a match ends with a player using Bowsercide or Ganon's Flame Choke the win will go to the initiator of the move.
- You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on
- No excessive stalling
- Gentleman's Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it
- Allowed controllers: Gamecube Controller, Wii U Pro Controller, Wiimote, 3DS (Wii U Gamepad is not allowed)
