So, to filll time when there are no real opponents to play, I like to screw around in With Anyone modes. That means character and stage modifier and, to make things more fun for me, I replace the waiting room with something.
But I'm running into problems trying to get these codes to work with button activators. Here are examples of the codes that aren't working:
The original form of the P1 character mod is this:
42000000 90000000
00FDCCF7 000000XX
Where XX is the character ID (2C = Giga Bowser)
And the button modifier for GameCube controller slot 1 is:
284DE4B0 YYYYZZZZ
(And E0000000 80008000 is used to end the conditional statement started by the first line).
ZZZZ is the button code part. The values for YYYY are the NOT/inverse values of ZZZZ, which means any other buttons can be pressed so long as the ones set in ZZZZ are, too (I've also tried it with YYYY = 0000, which means only the ZZZZ buttons can be pressed).
I've definitely been host, but the codes refuse to work. The idea was I would use X to be Giga Bowser or use X+Y to make everyone GB.
Then there's my attempt to vary the waiting room:

The waiting room doesn't change no matter what I press. Can anyone help me out here? I know button activators are supposed to work fine with the character mod--as long as you hold them from before the match starts, and you're host.
