Butterfly C4

So tonight I was screwing around with Snake's C4 and noticed that occasionally the C4 he plants looks like a butterfly rather than the regular signal box. This occurred fairly rarely, so I was wondering if it could possibly be more powerful than the regular C4 or something?

I don't think so, I think it's mainly there for looks and reference points. Not exactly sure though.
