I don't have a problem with bumping as long as you bump responsibly.
If the post has been dead for two or three days, and you're bringing up an entirely new point, then I think there's no problem with bumping.
...but then again, I've gotten an infraction for doing that before.

Yes, this is an example of what not to do.
First off, don't post your signature if it's longer than your post.
Secondly, making posts just to bump up an old topic is not allowed. If you need an answer, wait. If it's taking to long, use Google. Forums take time to generate responses.
Finally, questions about the forum should be left to the Official Questions and Suggestions Thread.
