I'm sure there's been more instances of this than just me, but after a particularly laggy match in For Fun Teams, this happened:
I returned to the character select screen as くり, and couldn't change character or get out of the menu. 2P says they were already playing, and the other two were apparently on the results screen forever, although it was likely just the indicators that were stuck. Obviously no matches ever started, but I could enter the waiting stage and then exit from there.
