I already have a good HD a decent flat screen monitor and a sweet Barebones case, a good all in one drive (DVD burner, CD burner RW etc etc), surround sound home system

I want you guys to tell me if these are good choices for what I want to do.
I'm not really a "hardcore" gamer. The most I do is emulate games like smash 64, Melee etc but I might get into PC games. (tf2, left for dead 2, F.E.A.R. etc) and I like to multitask A LOT. I always have a bunch of programs open

The processor that I'm planning to get is:
INTEL Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz 1333MHz 6MB C2Q CPU (I'm gonna OC this and this is probably the most priciest of all the things i'm buying)

RAM:
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK - Retail

Now I can't decide on which motherboard to choose (MOBO #2 costs a bit more but I'm thinking that in this case the more expensive the better)

MOBO #1:
BIOSTAR G31E-M7 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

MOBO #2:
GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2L LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
EasyTune 6(OC) hi-def entertainment, Intel HD Video, DX10
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128388

Now I've been researching this card and it sounds really good
GFX:
EVGA 01G-P3-N959-TR GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

As for the OS i'm gonna have Windows 7 on it.

So what do you guys think?

Doesn't look bad to me, other than the brands. I'm an AMD/RADEON guy, and you've got Intel/Nvidia stuff picked out. That's not bad at all. It's just the opposite of my arbitrary preferences.

If I were you, I'd look into 8 gigs of RAM instead of 4. But if it's a budget system, that would probably put it out of your price range, so 4 works just fine.

i personally find 8gb is only necessary if you want flawless performance on games without having to max out your system.

4GB i think should do for most games on the market for now, you might have to play with some stuff to get the best performance on your games.

P.S. I actually don't know a lot about computer hardware at all.

A friend has taught me a lot today. Apparently there were a lot of things in my build that weren't compatible with each other :x

Thankfully I have found an even better build (almost same price range) and an even WAY better GFX card. I don't think I need help anymore but thanks to the ones who posted
