Ok so here's my issue, 3 out of 4 times when I create my own brstm songs, in game, it will make a huge crack noise and goes into a werid staticy version of a different song. For example, I looped the Attack on Titan Opening, perfectly looped and I was proud of my work. In game about two minutes in it cracks into x2 speed version of Western KK.
Here's how I go about making my loop.
1.Download song (youtube to mp3, download sites, etc)
2.Open said song in Goldwave
3.Find the loop points
4. Save as a wav file
5.Open the (now) wav file of the song in BrawlBox
6.Enter the loop points and save as an bstrm
7.Rename to match the song I'm replacing (W31 replace Giga Bowser)
8.See if it works when I'm playing Project M

The reason I'm confused is because I have used the same process to create other brstm that have been successful (Soul Eater Op, GlitchxCity's Giratina etc)
What am I doing wrong? How do I consistently make brstm work? Any looping tips? Please and thank you!

Here is a video example of exactly what I mean

^that wont solve his issue. His issue is a defragmentation problem.
Defragment your sd card.

It doesn't matter how you make BRSTMs, they all end with the same (or almost same) result. Using multiple programs just give you larger control of volume balancing and more precise loop points.

How do I defrag my card on a windows 8 computer? I went on the "Defragment and Optimize Drives" and it's refusing to let me "Optimize" my sd card

Edit: Nevermind. I downloaded a defraging program. Once its done Im gonna see if it solved the issue
Edit #2, So defraging the card made it worse and PM crash with this weird PM Brawl thing and wiping the music back to Brawls Default

Windows should already have a built in Disk Defragmenter (search for it in the Start menu)
Make a backup of your build. Format your SD card (not quick format) and then reload the build onto your SD card. It should work fine after that
