(Disclaimer: Sorry if this has been suggested before, the search seems to be down)
Breath of Fire
For starters, the Breath of Fire games are an RPG series made by Capcom, there're 5 games in total:
Breath of Fire I - Nes/GBA
Breath of Fire II - Nes/GBA
Breath of Fire III - PSX/PsP
Breath of Fire IV - PSX/PC
Breath of Fire V - PS2
The series is fairly popular in Japan, I'm not sure about America, but it's fairly popular here in Europe too. Does it stand a chance at having a rep in Brawl? Well, it's appeared on a Nintendo system before.
The main character from all the BoF games are different variations of Ryu:

Depicted in all the games as a young, blue haired boy, who is from a Dragon clan, similiar to humans, though they are feared for thier ability to turn into fearsome dragons.
Granted Brawl already has Aiku, who's got blue hair, and possibly Marth.. who also has blue hair, but you can never have enough blue hair.
As for a example moveset, he would be a fairly weak, fast character, somewhat akin to Marth, but with less power on his strikes and perhaps some magical skills, and with a down b/final smash, he would turn into a dragon, this could be randomised, as he has many different dragon forms, they would all vary in stats, but have the same initial moves.
Having potentially 4-5 sword using characters could possibly be OTT though.
There are many other characters in the BoF universe, but Ryu being the main character, and one of only two characters to appear in all games (The other being Nina, a winged magic user) I'd like to see some sort of BoF rep as an AT, if not a playable character, but I'm not expecting much.
Any thoughts?
