Brawl+ Wifi matches

I have been enjoying Brawl+ over the past few months. However I seem to be having difficulties establishing Wifi matches. The game doesn't seem to work when I go on basic brawl, as everyone keeps suiciding in every match. Is there a patch Brawl+ needs to get Wifi working, or something else?

...Do you have any idea how Wifi works? It transmits BUTTON INPUTS, which means if you're playing against somebody without your EXACT VERSION of Brawl+, much less VBrawl, you're going to desync.

Only play matches with friends.

As much as that isn't helpful, shadics response is somewhat exactly what i wanted to say.
However, in the interest of not being a jerk:
You'll need to actually get some friends to play this with you, and you'll need to make sure you both have the same build, and use the same buffer. My suggestion would be going to the brawl+ chat and asking for matches, its a bit slow at times but you can usually find one
