Brawl tournament standard?

This is just something that's caught my attention, but in SSBB, it's possible to record up to 3 mins of in-game footage. Even though this isn't a true recorded match, (more like a set of instructions for the game to re-create your match.) I can see this function being useful for recording high-quality tourney matches. After a 3-minute 4 stock timed match, a camera can be perfectly aligned to the screen and the match replayed, resulting in perfect recorded matches.

My question is: will 3 minute 4 stock brawls become standard in the metagame? And how will this effect the players?

I doubt it, but it's still possible. 3 minute matches seem rather short to me...

I only really plan on using the feature to showcase of ma totA11ei Extr3me skl11z!!!one!!!pmwn!!!

For live tournaments, I would think players would record using alternate methods that are going to deffinately capture the entire match without any restrictions.

For Online Events, there's no statement yet that we can even use this feature during online play. If you survive longer, do we really want to cater to 3 minute max matches? Do you really want to go through all of those videos?

It's just an idea. It may lead to neater, more viewable matches, but the 3 minute time limit could be very stifling.

Even so, I'm just hoping this great feature will find some kind of practical use besides just recording private matches.
