This is the roster that I think will be in the game.

22. Lucas (Replace Ness)

25. Sheik (I think sheik will stay, because characters are based off of all their appearances in games, not just one)

27. Possibly Black Knight or another FE character that would be different than Ike.
28. Diddy Kong
29. Krystal
30. Sonic
31. Megaman
32. Dedede
33. Lolo (Because Sakurai has said how much he loves this character and the games he starred in and, because he helped to create him. He also said he wants to put all his creations in this game, because he couldn't in the last game. Aka Metaknight and Dedede)

39. Little Mac
40. Claus (Cyborg Style)
41. Pokemon Trainer (Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle)
42. Andy from Advance Wars (Because this is a very popular series from Nintendo that nobody has even mentioned for Brawl until now. I think he should earn a spot as much as Fire Emblem. I mean what is Advance Wars besides Fire Emblem with guys with guns instead of guys with swords?)
43. Isaac
44. Sukapon (How hard is it to make a character model consisting of circles that float?)
45. Dimeru

Some characters that I think should be in but have iffy chances are Lolo, Andy, and Balloon Fighter. They could easilly be put in as ATs.

EDIT: I took out balloon fighter, because he would probably show up as an AT instead of playable. I also took out Falco, because Krystal was more original. She was mentioned many times on the poll so she will probably be in the game. And Star fox doesn't really need more than two fighters.

If you count Zamus and Sheik not their own characters, then you get a roster of 43. 45 is a very rational number of characters. This may or may not be close to the final roster, but I think it will be pretty accurate.

you covered most of the bases series wise, but i don't see sonic who is more popular than megaman. probably 8/10

edit whoops, i see sonic now.

its possible but i dont think sonic will be in brawl and theres some oher things that i doubt(dont bother putting it all in)

but sakurai himself said he would try to get sonic in brawl. i don't see ww link (we already have a link) geno (third party, and megaman + sonic are more popular, and sakurai said 2 at max for 3rd party characters), harry, sukapon, or dimeru.

Megaman was on the poll and was basically the only one of the poll who made sense out of all the other 3rd party characters.

Also, I don't count Geno as 3rd party because he's from the Marioverse.

geno is third party, owned by square, who rarely gives out character rights. i wouldn't bet on geno, though he would be nice.

this is one of the only prediction lists that i actually like. although i would like to see stafy and there are some characters i would rather not see (megaman), the list still scores high. i'd say 5/5

well deoxys is uber pwnage and lucario isn't that bad either, although that does add the pokemon series up allot

Well, who else would they put in from Pokemon? You know they will add SOMEONE. Mewtwo is staying no matter what people say. When Sakurai said not all characters will return, I am sure that he meant clones are out. I doubt he would get rid of anyone else.

They couldn't put in starters, because then you'd need the other two. So it'd be unbalanced. There are no other major Pokemon from the series in recent memory that would work.

Well, now I will have to count Lucario out due to Pokemon Trainer's inclusion. And as we now know, Deoxys is pokeball. Soooo...yeah.
