Brawl pranking anyone?

Okay, so here's the deal. We now have the chance to prove just how popular this board is. If the prank falls trough, then we know this board is awsome, or that there's a mole among us.

Anyway, remember that Doctor Mario Confirmed thread in the Brawl General Discussion? Remember my latest movie? Remember the logo between Sonic and Tails? Looks kind of official, not?

What if we could prank some forums into thinking we've got some leaked information about Brawl, or better, just leaked icons. Unsignificant, but still effective. The basics are simple. Some members go around and post one image of a certain type. Let's say one member finds the black version of the Sonic Team icon. A day later on another forum a white version is posted. A few minutes or hours later this white version is posted on another forum. Then, when the storm calms down a bit, a leaked Sonic icon is released, on yet another place by another member. This gets the n00blets to discuss about it, making them think it's confirmed. Oh how fun it would be to see their disappointed faces!

To cover it all up, we could say it was salvaged by some people experimenting with the URLs, and coincidentally finding them before they were removed from the interwebs.

So, up for the grand scam?

To give you an idea of how it could work, here are some icons I salvaged

Now now Eor, if the idea does take off, he could simply edit his original post. I doubt all potential brawlers and gamers read this site. So it could work. Not that I am willing to take part in it, simply because I don't care enough about Brawl to put effort into this.

That was indeed what the plan was. Of course we wouldn't use these icons and such, and even if we did, we could pretend it never happened and just about delete the thread or edit it a few days prior to the pranktack, so that it wouldn't leave a trace.

This reminds me of a Broom prank we had planned that actually had video for a game. But due to the fact that we somehow have ties to Nintendo via the Nintendo Power article, it was agreed that dealing with the inevitable ****storm that would follow would be too much, thusly it was scrapped.

The first thing that comes to mind is the Gametalk forum. It is incredibly easy to make accounts for posting. I'll make a thread on new Brawl characters, but I'll need some replies from you guys.

I won't make "sockpuppets" (multiple accounts) because of IP checking. Just use your SWF names, I guess. And don't kill me, Crimson. >.> Feedback on this plan?

It's not worth doing because

a. mods will be overloaded; there'd be way too much sh*t to clean up
b. it would be pointless as most probably know about it already
c. people would be spoilers and clarify that smashboards is not an official source

Are we supposed to make different forum accounts to perhaps fool a n00b? Hurting mods kinda seems fun... but it still is not worth anyone's time.

The point is people won't believe it if it comes from a message board. Unless you cite IGN or something else, they'll just see it as an attack on their forums from SWF, and yes, that will cause us all to be pissed off because they will retaliate.

The thing is, sonic COULD be in brawl. We have 3d party characters in it (Snake, Sakurai saying "maybe 1 or 2 more") not to mention the game "Mario and Sonic at the Olympics"
