Right, ive been thinking recently :psycho: and as brawl is aimed to be WiFi compatable so people can play from different consoles, a problem occured to me . . . when people join a game or whatever and a level is selected (one which a member in the hosted game doesnt have) will they be able to play it
Will the game designers make all levels unlocked at the beggining of the game, or will people that havent unlocked a level be kicked out. I'm not sure what you all think, or have read in interviews etc, but i just thought i would share this thought with you all. :)

If I remember correctly, Mario Kart's solution to this problem was simple. If there were four players in a race and only one of them had a unlockable level, then the others simply couldn't select it. So the fewer people in a match that have a level unlocked the less likely it will be selected for play.

You could have 2 people with it, and 2 without and then have a 50/50 shot of the tie-breaker choosing it randomly.

Or maybe my memory is failing.

in mariokart you could pick all available courses right away i think.(except the ones that you couldnt pick online)

but yeah in metroid when you havent unlocked a certain level you cant pick it, but if your opponent picks it you can play on it

so brawl will probably do the same as one of the 2.

I hope its like Mario Strikers where everything is unlocked when you play online. I'll just have to unlock all the characters before I play so I don't spoil myself.

In Mario Strikers Charged, their solution was that when playing someone online, everything is unlocked, but if you wanted to play as that person or on that level on ur own you had to unlock it yourself... that seems the best solution to everything

This would be "teh suxorz"...

but in mario kart DS, the players couldn't use certain courses if one of the racers hadn't unlocked it yet.

I'm hoping Brawl doesn't go down that horrible road of doom, death, destruction, and pie...
