(I hope this wasn't already posted somewhere or people already noticed this)

Well, if you watch in the latest smash commercial:
http://wii.com/jp/movies/smashbros-movie1/

-Mario beats up Bowser to show "How to Play" but Bowser is mostly KO'ed around the 100-150%s.

-In recent demos, people have noted that people survived longer and were KO'ed around the 200%s.

-Perhaps they changed an option and made the characters harder to KO or have more "launch resistance". Theres an option in Melee to do that too, I think. <-- tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure theres an option to make it harder to be KO'ed in Melee.

-Heh, also, maybe just me but, Brawl doesn't seem too slow to me, maybe I'm just being very hopeful. I guess probably the speed is just in between 64 and Melee. Well I'm fine w/ the speed.

Whatcha guys think?

Hmm... is the title fine? Suggestions?

Brawl isn't super slow. No one ever said that. But compared to Melee its slower, which in most players opinions is a step backwards.

Actually, its easier to notice the slowed down speed if you watch 1v1 matches. During 4 player matches its kinda hard to tell.

As for percentages, its been stated that DIing is much easier this time around. Which probably explains some of the higher percent kills.

Melee had an option to do more damage I think.. Used to change it I just forgot the name of it.

Brawl looks slower but not dramatically.. And 200% is in the demos.. But is that from unexperienced people?

@onix vulpine

yeah that feature is available.

you basically alter your weight or chance of getting sent off either faster or slower.

Its also hard to come to solid conclusions when all we see are matches between casual players (and even then, good melee players are having to use the classic controller on a game that essentially they have little experience with).

We won't really know until the game comes out. For all we know, some cheap edge-guarding tactics may mean we aren't going to live to those percentages all the time.
