No, since Wiis are region specific, the games are as well. It also allows them to add more content since it won't have the Japanese voice, text, and such (although they didn't take up much space anyway I am sure).

This is such faulty logic. Melee was region specific too, my gawd.

Anyway OP, I hope that the option to change languages is in this game. There are characters with Japanese and English VAs.

[Why else would they slightly delay the game for us?]

A better question would be, why would they have to delay the game if it was like Melee and both languages were there from the beginning? I don't know this for a fact, but was the Japanese version of Melee not practically the same as the English besides the fact the default language was set to Japanese?

If that was the case, and both languages were in Brawl, it's safe to say they probably would have had the same release date since it would take all of a few seconds to change the code for the US version.

Considering I have a naggy feeling both games were developed at the same time, I think it might.

But it isn't going to be so different. Okay, some text will be changed, but that's it. The rest, considering Nintendo's characters don't talk, I think it won't matter which language you play it in.

the only difference would would be if the japanese version were to have alternate language settings, then we would be able to import the game from japan rather then wait until february.but that is only if the game had such a setting.....

Japanese Melee and English Melee were not released at the same time.

So did Japanese Melee have an English language option ?
Because if that happens for Brawl I'll quite conveniently import Brawl from Japan instead of US (as an unlucky European)...

You don't need to make two topics about it. Also, I don't think they're going to have the Language Option this time around :( But, we'll see.
