Brawl getting rid of clone characters?

I have heard a lot of rumors about Brawl getting rid of the "clone" characters, such as ganondorf, Y.link, Doc/mario. I would like to know if Nintendo themselves said this, and if so, where?

Yes, apparently so, they won't scrap Ganon, just change his moveset, probably swordbased like in TP

Yeah. I don't really want clones in Brawl. Everyone should just have a different moveset to make each character more unique. If there are, I'll still get it anyway.

The whole clone debate, again. Ganon is the only "clone" I don't agree with as he just doesn't seem, ganon. However, truth be told, Ganon's are VERY different from Captain Falcons, and not just the Knee. Ganondorf's play a patient game, wherras Captain Falcon is agressive, they are played different, and seem the most different out of the clones.

Falco is also very different from Fox. First, his shine knocks people upwards, his Dair is a spike rather than a drill, his blaster stuns [thus making it better than Fox's], he is slower, falls faster, and some of his animations are different. And of course, he is a "clone" that makes sense, he and Fox would have similar training, and similar weaponry.

Nothing official has been said regardling clones, the closest being "Not all characters from Melee will be in Brawl"
