Brawl Ex freeze after stage select, Crazy hand BP

Hey everyone. I'm kinda late to BrawlEx but have decided to give the clone characters their own CSP etc. Iv'e tinkered and whatnot and finally got the CSS portrait and icon to appear for the character with the correct name. Now after selecting the character and picking a stage it freezes. There is no Battle portrait and the name says crazy hand. I followed numerous tutorials and still no dice. I will say that in each tutorial I've seen it says something about changing the count to 22 but mine is at 31. and idk if that may be the cause. Kind of lost and would love some help.
