Brawl disc partially scratched, can I still download PM?

So, I've been wanting to download Project M for a really long time, and I finally got everything I need to download it. The only problem is, my disc is partially scratched. The game works great, expect Marth and Meta Night do not load. Whenever I try to load them the game crashes. Will Project M still download onto my Wii?

Project M runs off an sd card, not the console itself. Think of P:M as a skin placed over the contents of the brawl disc, and not it's own disc in itself. If you're experiencing marth and meta knight problems in vBrawl, you'll more than likely get game crashes picking those characters in P:M.

you can install homebrew and usbloader to use an iso instead of your disc
