I watch the Rosalina trailer and one part pit do a brawl air dodge like in brawl.
Then in Little Mac trailer the Wii fit literaly choose a 100% clear the air dodge from brawl to dodge Little Mac punch.
That means Wavedash is not retuning and L-Cancelling.
I got only one problem, The air dodge of brawl can dodge many times and feel Like I cannot hit the guy because he just dodge, I hope you can only one time and that make everything more easy to eat instead of a impossible target to hit.

I think Brawl's problem with the airdodge wasn't in the mechanics of the actual dodge, but about when you could do it.

You shouldn't be able to cancel hitstun like it's nothing a split second after you're hit.

You shouldn't be able to do one while tumbling down.

Make those two come true, and I'd honestly like it better than Melee's airdodge in nearly every way, they make air combat feel much smoother and fluid and stuff.

Yes, there are Brawl ADs. L-cancelling doesn't really have anything to do with ADs though

Why the hell shouldn't you be able to airdodge while tumbling? I think that's one of the most annoying of Priject M's mechanics.

So you're saying rather than land a successful tech, you'd rather airdodge?

Pressing the shield button before hitting a wall doesn't constitute as an "OMGINPUT"

Well, you'd be able to wavedash from that, and for some chars (Luigi, Mewtwo, Ice CLimbers, sometimes DDD) this would be incredible broken.
They could at least give you a little more mobility, it pisses me off that you have to wait like 5 seconds to jump after entering tumbling animation, don't even get me started on not being able to Up+B while you're tumbling.

I think you're confusing hitstun with the actual effect of tumbling. You can easily escape from tumbling by inputting a direction on the control stick. Oh, and you can Up-B out of it.

Yeah, that. Airdodging when you just want to stop your movement on a wall is the worst, especially when you were sent flying really fast and you end up sliding against the wall with the same momentum and then you die anyways.

I don't really care either way, but...

Don't people want SSB to be harder instead of easier? And most competitive stages don't have significant walls, if any, anyway.

Most of the mechanic that competive people use are bassicaly are like a little "glitch" or a broken mechanic in the game. I dont kwon much about L-Cancelling, even I search of both Wavedashing and L-Cancelling, I could understand how the wave dash work but L-Cancelling is a bit tricky to do it, but still... The future might our answer.
