Alright guys. I've been playing Bowser and Ness faithfully for a while, but I tend to do better after a switch of focus from one to another. Now, I've gone from hating Jiggs to trying and having victories with him, and humiliating Mario mains with the same game I'm used to.

Now, I'm still only a fragment of anyone who probably trolls this board. But, in an effort to try to start bettering myself with as many underplayed characters as I can stand, I'm starting here, with,

HOO HOO, MAR-EE-OO!

My statement is this. Can you Macho Mario Men give me the lowdown on the basics to becoming better with this phenomenal plumber?

Well Utilt for one, use all your aerials except for your Fair unless you're going for a spike, Cape ***** almost everyone, F.L.U.D.D. kills aerial approaches and setups capes, Nair goes through just about everything, approach with shorthopped fireballs, learn how to aim your Up B, learn the cape glide, stutter step your Fsmashes, abuse your Dsmash when you have an opening, aim your Fsmash up, how to gimp because Mario is the god of gimping, how to do 2 aerials out of a shorthop, how to setup with your Jab and Ftilt, etc. etc. the list goes on...

Wishing Apex 2012 happened again.
Mario relys all on his aerial game for racking up and ko power. He's gimping ablitlies are top notch and he has anti-ledge tools enabling him to get back on the stage. He has alot of combo set ups. He has a fireball which ruins approachs and pressures some, gives him a good approach as well. Mario is a very situational character.
