I have come up with a concept for a Final Fantasy Video game that I would like to share with everyone. It is not complete because I want you, the people of Smashboard's to add your own input and help complete the story and possible plot of this game.
Here goes...
Title: Final Fantasy: Universe
Genre: Single Player RPG / MMORPG
Brief Explination: You start off as your own custom created character, built completely from scratch, choosing to wield what weapon you wish to wield.. all with unique attributes (Gunblade, Buster Sword, Materia User, Summoner, etc.) only to be put into a neutral universe where all seems right. A Wormhole or a rift has appeared (no cause yet) into another final fantasy universe.. This is where the story unfolds.. and I need you guys to complete it. The plot relates to Chrono Trigger (another great game by Squaresoft.)
Storyline Ideas: The first rift is a portal to the Final Fantasy 7 Universe, where you meet Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and so on.. It is up to you on which allies you take with you to stop these rifts for you will only be able to take one per universe. Whatever decision you make will impact the game and change the storyline. Meanwhile as these "portals" are appearing through out the universes, a new Villain is a-foot. This villain is doing the same as you are, jumping through time rifts to recruit such baddies as Sephiroth, Kefka, Kadaj, Sorceress Edea, etc..
Online Ideas: The online feature will be for the character you have created and taken through the story line. Only after you have beaten the game, and aquired all the skills offered in single player will the Online Feature unlock. Once unlocked, you take your character into the online universe with all the things you have aquired and begin at level 1. This is where you learn to meet allies from other universes as well and fight in a maximum party of 5. Online bosses will include such villians as Sin (Final Fantasy X) and Lavos (Chrono Trigger).
Online PVP System: PvP is important in MMORPG's in my opinion. There will be Battle Arenas scattered throughout the online map where players can meet and prove who is greater. There would also be a ladder system to keep record of who wins what in which arena.
This is where you come in.. I want to know where this story can go, or how it will progress through the creative minds of Smashboards. I have had this concept in the back of my mind for several years and could only wish it would be real.. but until Squaresoft Steps it up, we can only use our imagination.
