Bowser can crouch mid-dash. What does this mean?

(Apologies if this isn't discussion-worthy or has been talked about before. I did a search, but nothing relevant popped up. I'm also not sure if this belongs here or in the 3DS section, simply because I doubt they'd add this feature into the 3DS game but not the Wii U one)

As for a reason why Bowser is the only character who can do this currently, and this is just a silly assumption, but maybe he was one of the first characters added into the game? If true, it'd make sense that he has stuff others don't in the demo. I'm kinda confused as to what, exactly, this means. Is this technique character-specific now? Will it be applied to all of the characters eventually? Or maybe it'll be completely removed all-together for the final release? Discuss!

Oh, really? Wonder why that topic didn't show up, then? Oh well.

Still, it's cool that this is a thing right now. Hopefully they keep it and apply it to everyone.

He was able to do this in Brawl, too. It's going to be more important in this game, though.

Can he, really, or does his dash just stop quickly when compared to other characters? 'Cause it really doesn't look as instant as crouch cancelling is.

I am open to the fact that could just be his stopping animation from running but it just looks way to abrupt to me and I don't remember but I don't think Yoshi can crawl

It could either be the stopping animation, or crawling at this point. I am leaning more towards the stopping animation now, as it coincides with the dash pivot tilts that Mario and Fox can do (neither have a crawl). I will definitely test this when I finally get my hands on the game. Until then, we will just wait and see.

Either way though, I hope that this mechanic stays (as well as pivot tilts). It looks very nice.
