hey guys......

I was thinking about it today, and I remember playing a football game over XbL and there was an option where you could Download a "player profile"

If that person was say, offline or you were not connected to the internet you could play against there "style".

Just thought Id bring it up for discussion.

Sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind it if they did something like that, it would give you a good chance to memorize their style of play so you can counter them the next time you fight them.

Sounds good except for the fact that the best style is mixing up your style to confuse your opponent..

All that the computer knows wot to do is att. It got no "confuse" program built in.
would be really gd if they did manage to do that tho. Be alot more fun

The only way your character could really be built to confuse your opponent was if you trained them to use all their moves evenly (a la what you could do in Virtua Fighter 4) or if there was an addendum thingy to your style where you could select "mix-up", "all out offensive", "tank", etc. to alter the bot's movement and attack preferences. I think that's what they did with Final Fantasy 12's Gambit system, but I'm not sure.

It would definitely be interesting though. It's also something that could be implemented post-release and made available online or something.

The best they could do would to be to record which moves are used by the player and then have the computer use them in the same proportions. Essentially what they already do except that the proportions would be slightly altered.
