Boss Battle Issues

So anytime I try to do two player Boss Battles in Project M my game freezes.

I'm very sure that the reason is that Pokemon Trainer is in the top time for duo Boss battles. Is there anyway I could fix this OTHER than by deleting my brawl data or making a new best time without Pokemon Trainer?
