boot.elf not found error on hackless wii`

Im using a hackless wii with a 2gb micro sd in an adapter. Ive thoroughly deleted all stages from wii and sd card. Everytime i try to load project M i get this:

boot.elf not found
USBGecko not found
no code to load...hanging..

Ive made sure its the right format and i directly installed the file to the card. Is there something im missing?

So does the slider on the sd card have to be set to unlocked? When I set it to unlocked, it pulls up the stage builder menu and sits there trying to pull up whatever stage it thinks is present and never moves forward

I have the same exact problem. Using that troubleshooting guide and a YouTube video I have found out that among my files and folders there is no boot.elf. Why is that and how do I fix that¿ It is just simply not there once I extract the nohomebrew after downloading from the website. Any help please¿
