Boost grab vs. jump cancelled grab

I was reading cunning kitsune's guide to fox and the guide mentions another method of grabbing called the boost grab.

I was wondering, does this eliminate the use of JC grab alltogether? it looks like it goes further, but fox still performs the running grab animation. just wondering if the boost grab makes the JC grab obsolete.

The boost grab has more range but isn't as fast. It is useful though.

I made a list comparing all of the characters boostgrabs awhile ago but I don't know what happened to it.

yeah, actually, the jc grab makes the boost grab almost obsolete. The jc grab is faster both on the grab comeout, and has less lag. but the boost grab does have significantly longer range, but i never use boostgrabbing, because it's generally too slow and you don't need the extra range in most circumstances.

JC grabs are better... boost grab is very situational but sometimes it can be useful.

JC grabs are without a doubt better. The boost grab has a lot less grab box, plus it just takes longer. Those situations where boost grabs are better are few and far between.
