I tried to make this team all BL and lower, but I can't find an up-to-date tier list. So if one of these happens to be OU, kindly tell me so that I may replace it.
Sudowoodo (
) @ Rowap Berry/Suggestions?
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 86 HP/172 Def/252 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Wood Hammer
- Sucker Punch
- Explosion
---
Sets up Stealth Rocks. The item I had intended for it to hold was called a "Cutsap Berry." Cutsap Berry: "If held by a Pokémon, it gets to move first just once in a pinch." So in a pinch, Sudowoodo gets a quick explosion. But shoddy didn't have it as a choice
So Rowap hurts any pokemon that decides to hit it with a special attack.
Dusclops (
) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/180 Def/78 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
- Protect/Roar
---
Again, the shoddy selection screwed me over. My initial plan was to set up the rocks, then swap to my Pyroshuffler Dusclops. Roar wasn't in its movepool on the shoddy list... So now it's just a staller that likes to burn things.
Ambipom (
) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Fake Out
- Pursuit
- U-turn
---
Mr. Hit and Run right here. Fake Out for a free, surprisingly powerful hit (Technician + STAB = 90 base power equivalent), then U-turn out with maxed speed. Pursuit for a revenge kill. Note that the first 3 attacks get a boost from Technician, so it's not that weak with the moves. This is where I think I might've crossed the OU line, 'cause Ambipom just seems too dam good.
Hitmontop (
) @ Jaboca Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP/124 Atk/124 Def/10 Spd
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Pursuit
- Mach Punch
- Fake Out
---
Rapid Spinner and another Hit-and-Run / Revenge-kill pokemon. Fake Out --> Next move. Pretty simple, but EV spread makes it much more defensive.
Gardevoir (
) @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 92 HP/136 Def/252 Spd/30 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Reflect
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
---
Why Trace over Synchronize? Well, those weather based teams have been pissing me off a lot lately (I swear, it's every other battle), so Trace will be copying that swift swim or Chlorophyll. Don't bother telling me I should use Synchronize here, I'm set on Trace. Otherwise, it's a Special Tank.
Flygon (
) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- U-turn/Roost (suggestion please)
---
Physical Sweeper with a surprise Special. Focus Sash is for those ice attacks out of nowhere. Otherwise, I think it could take a hit without the Sash which is why I'm considering Roost.
I know Weavile can chew through this team, but with proper prediction and set up, I can counter it (Fake Outs, SE U-Turns, Mach Punch...). Most of those sweepers can be beaten by the Hit and Run strategy, especially when their defenses are neglected. I think this team might have trouble with walls though. And I really need to find a new phazer if shoddy won't let Dusclops use Roar.
So...Comments, (Constructive) Criticism, Rating, etc...
