I wasn't able to find this trick in our little happy Pac Place, but I just discovered a nice way to throw the Bell.
First step is to have a Hydrant on the field and a belll in your pocket. Wait until the hydrant is about to do the water thing and throw the bell on the other side into the water of the hydrant. It will be sent straight forward a lot faster then you think it would and if you smash or hit the hydrant afterwards you can Ko people easy.
Testing it again, to make sure it was no bug!

Edit: Seems to be a reaaaaally really good edge guard and works pretty fine. Your opponent can't tell if you're throwing it the normal way or sending it straight towards him
