I got project M on my wii but I have one of the new 4.3 ones that lack a gamecube port. Are there any truly reliable adapters for my wii?

GameCube controllers can't be used for Wii games at all, if the console isn't one of the original models that has GameCube controller ports built-in (same as the Wii U).

No lag for both consoles. The issue is only for the Wii U,cuz there's a small delay, but for some reason,It works perfectly on the Wii! Plus,Sidenote,It will register as a Classic Controller. And if you need more info on how to use it,there are prenty of videos on Youtube about it,but It's more likely to find it by searching : "How to play with a gamecube controller on the Wii U?" or something like that. Hope my advice is helpful!
