My mains are Marth Fox and Falco. in that order. My team mates Mains are Peach, Marth, Fox, in that order.

We will be fighting Fastlike a tree and Xelic, (or however you spell it) what do you suppose our best options are. My team mate has a near perfect chain grab with peach, if he gets a fox or falco they don't get free till they have over 110 damage almost everytime. Ask anyone in Kansas, And his fox and marth are based more on mind games than tech skill.

My Marth and fox are based mostly off techskill, and i most never miss a drill shine, or a wavedash to f smash chance with marth. And my falco is 100% camp, run away, spam short hop lasers and pillar when they come closer. Anyway just basic overlay, it probably didn't help, but yah.

What combinatinos would work better, and against which characters?
Our double marth team, and marth peach team seem to work really well, but it dosn't hurt to get other peoples opinions.

Thankyou for all of your opinions.

Marth/Peach is my favorite team... let me explain it how the marth player explained it to me...

There is no I in team, but there is an ea in both team and peach... EA makes video games for nintendo systems... Fire Emblem is on nintendo systems, and marth is from fire emblem...

when I pointed out the flawed logic (all characters in smash are on nintendo systems) he just said no... when I asked about roy, he laughed... therefore marth and peach are the best...

haha, but for real, they seem to work amazingly well...

Marth and Peach is such a good choice. they can cover each other really well and barely get in each other's way. it's really about the communication though.

anyway, good luck againt FLT & Xelic. is it gonna be recorded?

Yes it will be recorded, and me and my partner are doing all we can to prepare, and can read each other pretty well, so communication or working together isnt a problem, we never seperate in team battles, and always back eachother up if one is getting comboed or edge gaurded, unless there is an assured kill for one of us, we put each others safty over much anything else

i'll be sure to get the fights to you if you PM me after the 25, me and my partner arn't to bad, Im hoping to give them a good match if not make sure its not a slaghter fest.

Thanks for your advice ecic4, lol i think roy is awsome though, too bad hes a bit slower than marth or ide use him.

I guess well train our marth and peach more now.

marth and samus is a beast team... marth does all the damage with his shffling and
f-smashes while samus keeps them away... imo they are an awsome team...

I've heard from numerous people that Fox/Peach is the #1 ranked duo for teams, but I've seen Marth/Peach work well too (Newlyweds). I would say Marth Peach, or Fox Falco if you need to change things.

Marth and Peach, IMO. You should just call yourselves the 'See-Stick Team'. (For those who didn't catch that, it was a reference to Marth and Peach being played with huge use of the Cstick.)

Marth gets around or is equal to most people, and the few that he isn't greater than or equal to, Peach can over easily.

And chaingrabbing doesn't mean all that much in teams, IMO.

i avoided saying fox because FLT has such a good fox.

samus does make a good team, but she wasn't listed.....

Well I would say a good teammate for marth is captain falcon just for the plain reason that captain falcon fits in almost any team game.

I understand partially what you mean, but I feel like falcon gets into trouble in teams, especially with his horrid recovery. As soon as he's off the edge, one opposing team member edgeguards and the other delays CF's teammate. He's good because of his speed and aerial combos, but I think he just dies too quickly for teams, where survival is sometimes more important than dealing damage. That's why Peach and Samus are such good team partners for everyone, they never die.

As the others before me have said, go with the Peach/Marth team.

Run and Spam Falco's typically don't do well in big team battles.
While it would seem like a toss up between your Marth and Fox if they are around the same level, Marth and Peach complement each other a little more than Fox and Peach (though Taj and Forward occasionally play a very good Peach/Fox team).

If your peach is a grabber and you can play off that alot I would say Fox. Running upsmashes are just too good. And with Fox you can keep constant pressure with the shine and just wait for Peach to grab. If the Peach can hold her own on her side of the field well I would say Marth. Both have the ability to chaingrab well and play off platforms just a little harder to correlate grab chances since Marth isn't as fast and doesn't have a good short smash attack.

Me and my friend arn't bad well tell you that, and we went to MLG and faced oro and hugs, before, though 2 days of no sleep took its tool. We did alot better than we thought, and hugs had one life left, and oro had 2. For being half asleep we were proud lol. But now were better, and look forward to our matches with the pros coming here.

Just found out forward and darkrain are coming in teams here too. What would you guys say to that.

My marth fox and falco, are all pretty even, but i have more controll over my fox and marth.

Thankyou for all your advice everyone as i am taking it into account.

Montreal. PM me if you're on the island! I need op
I'd be tempted to say that the best teammate for Marth is...himself. I've got NO team play experience though, so I don't know if this stupid for some reason...

They are both entirely Melee based, but based on the fact that CF has been suggested leads me to believe this isn't a problem. It at least helps them avoid friendly fire. I guess the only real problem would be if the other team both counter Marth. I'm not sure how often that could happen though.

Meh, anyway, newb speaking here ^_^ so don't quote me on anything.

Just make sure you don't use Falco unless you're REALLY confident with him, he doesn't do that well in teams.

Marth/Fox, Marth/Peach are probably your best options, that and having experience with your partner.

FLT and Xelic runs Fox/Peach and Marth/Peach, right?

Your best bet would be Marth/Marth and just go to straight dominate them when they're Fox/Peach. Keep them seperate and close to the edge; that'll keep the Peach out of the fight, and focus on DIing the upsmashes and they'll have a tough time killing you.

I'd be concernced about a Peach in this situation; no offense to your boy, but Xelic's Peach is probably better. If they switch to Marth/Peach on you, however, Falco/Peach projectile whoring/rescue sqaud can't hurt to try, just don't let your Falco get gayed too much. If either of you played Sheik, Marth/Sheik is probably the best available counter to Marth/Peach, but you don't so :(.

Anyway, running Marth/Peach against Fox/Peach is a bad idea; your peach will be tied up and have too much to handle with Xelic's, or be getting worked by FLT's amazing freakin' Fox, and lose alot more stocks than she takes, while both the Peach and the Fox can tie up your Marth and **** him. I think Marth/Marth works better by far for this matchup.

Isai is the best teammate for Marth.

alright, yah, i caaaaaan use shiek, but i don't like her as much as fox or marth, so falco is only as a last resort if all goes wrong huh. I'll keep that in mind. We are pretty good in Marth Marth though, well test a few things out today.

What about against forward and dark rain.

Resting in a doubles match against either Forward or Darkrain is probably not the best of ideas.

I take it they will play Falco/Falcon respectively. Matching up your Marth with Falcon and your friend's Peach with Falco seems to me to be your best shot.
