I'm on a bit of a budget so I bought a 2ds. I don't care about better visuals or nostalgia is this suitable for online mode?
Thanks

To my knowledge, there is absolutely no difference in the quality of its internet connection, so you should be fine.

Best system? What are these mumblings among the Smash brethren? Could it be that the people want an organized matchmaking system from which to ensure that every member here on Smashboards gets to play other members around their skill level in a competitive Smash setting online? That sounds glorious! That sounds...

Oh, it's just some old chap who doesn't know if his hardware is up to snuff for online play. Um...your system should work fine. Aside from the lack of 3D visuals and a shorter battery life, I doubt the Internet capabilities are any worse. I mean, this isn't choosing a PC with heavily varying specs, it's a portable console! That's the beauty of these things, you don't have to worry if your hardware is powerful enough; they're all essentially the same. They wouldn't make games for the console if it couldn't handle them, much less from a first party developer.

So yeah. You'll be fine. Don't worry about it.
