Best router settings for a stable connection?

I've been wanting to play P:M online for quite some time, and I've always gotten error codes within 30 seconds of starting a match. Anyone have any suggestions for settings on my router for settings to make me not disconnect? Channels? Security? Various other settings? Thanks in advance.

Definitely open NAT if possible, WPA-2 of higher tiers/as much encryption layering as possible for wireless security, idk channels though.

Already tried. Any Nintendo WFC related error codes will just give you a message that the servers were discontinued. Thanks, though

Something like that is out of your and my hands. Try Dolphin netplay instead, I suppose.
