Which character do you think has the best projectile?(In terms of strength and/or utility)

In terms of strength, I don't think anything beats Mega Man's fsmash. Though in terms of utility, Mega Man's buster is great for harassment, as is ZSS's damn paralyzer. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention Villagers ****ty little fair. Screw that.

Samus may be low tier, but her Charge Shot has better range than Mega Man's fsmash and is still an effective KO move.

PAC-MAN's Bonus Fruits are really versatile since every charge level is different and covers a different use (Bell for combo strings/anti-air, Melon for traps, Key for kills, etc.) Mewtwo's Shadow Ball is super strong and is a really solid mid-range punish option. R.O.B. has two really good projectiles: laser for chip damage and interrupting opponents, and Gyro for edgeguarding, combos, defense, and lots of other things. Overall, though, I don't think anything beats Duck Hunt's Can in terms of utility. It sticks around for a good while and can go basically wherever you want it to, making it a boon to stage control and offstage edgeguarding.

Her full-charge clashes with Link's bomb IIRC.

The best practical projectile is definitely Shiek's needles. I'd give second best to Diddy's banana, and third to anything pacman has.

Edit:

Actually, i'm giving second to Luigi/Mario's fireball, off the simple fact you can block it and get punished for it.

I would say Villager's tree is the best projectile due to it's strength, despite it being slow and easy to counter.

Shadow Ball without a doubt. Not only does the uncharged version have a hitbox larger than that of the ball itself, but the charged version is strong as **** and KOs, reliably, at like 100%. And if you get a Shadow Ball reflected back at you, R.I.P. in pieces to your shield and your soul.

Another "best something in the game thread." Usually by "projectile" I mean things like R.O.B.'s gyro, or Link's bomb, but i'll extend it to all projectiles in this one. For me, I really want to say Toon Link's bomb, because it sets up into so much, but that'd be biased but that would be maybe a close second. The best projectile/projectiles are probably Sheik's needles. They're so ridiculous and fast, and one of the key parts of Sheik being the best character in the game. Honorable mentions would go to Toon Link's Bomb, R.O.B.'s gyro, and Fox and Falco's lasers. So, what do you all think?

I would also say Fox's blaster is good for chipping off damage, but you should use it at a distance.

I don't think that there is a best character with one projectile in the game, especially because a character can have multiple projectiles.
If I had to say which character(s) makes the most use out of his/her projectiles, it would be :4ness:,:4lucas:,:4tlink:,:4link:,:4pacman:,:4sheik:, and:4megaman:. Also :4dedede:
Ness and Lucas can both pressure and edge guard with there PK moves, Ness in particular is known for his bait and hit with the figure 8 PK thunders, and his diagonal PK fire can be a nice guard.
Toon Link and Link are both self explanatory, being projectile heavy characters and being able to follow up with them. They can use their projectiles as traps, pressure, combos, or even kill moves.
Pac-Man is a character easily forgotten, and a professional Pac-Man can use his hydrant and his fruit in outstanding ways.
Sheik's needles are fast, and the diagonal ones can set up pretty nicely into a bouncing fish. Her Side-B is also good, especially the custom one that can pull you in and can combo into an up smash.
Megaman is self-explanatory... It's his entire moveset.
King Dedede is a beast, I've put a lot of work into him and a good dedede knows that the Gordo is nothing to mess around with. It can take away so many options and is immensely important in his play.
Welp, that's my input.

How has nobody mentioned Luigi yet?

Fireballs are super good for approach, do 6%, and have pretty much no lag whatsoever.
