Best opportunities to uptilt with falco

Im new to falco and I constantly see top falco players using uptilt to extend and start combo's. Can anyone explain to me the best time to use uptilt (i.e. percentage, position on stage). Thanks!

I like uptilt instead of shine when crossing up and they're above about 20-30% (so they can't cc it that well). It will also beat out a lot of aerial approaches, so using it defensively when someones trying to drop on you often works well.
