I'm not sure if this hs been asked already, but what has been your best moment in Smash competitively and casually?

For me, competitively playing had never interested me up until playing Smash 3ds. I played on For Glory and noticed how fun it is just to go one on one against someone without stage hazards. I looked into it more, but as a 14 year old I didn't quite know what to do. I had started looking more competitive stuff up and had eventually gotten a Wii U and Smash for Christmas. That was when a spark flew for me. So overall, my best moment is realizing that I love smash as a competitive game. Now I am 16 and finally becoming the player I want to be. I've attended tournaments and have changed my main list more than I care to count. All that work has really paid off in the end

Now I don't really expect a life story on how you came into smash. You can even put down your best combo or even something else, just let me hear some input!

My best moment was my first tournament, one that me and my friends organized.
We are all actually quite good at the game, so it was pretty exciting. I had a really rough path to the finals, but I made it. I lost 3-2 after 5 very hard games, but I was still happy.
I wasn't even expecting to make it into Top 8, let alone Top 2. We had 5 tournaments so far - that one and the last one we had not 2 days ago were the best ones. Well, the last one was good save for the fact I forgeited at the Loser's Finals since I didn't really want to play anymore.

I myself am new to the competitive smash scene, especially as a player. I've watched many tournaments but until yesterday, had never played on the Wii U at all.

Yesterday I went to a local tournament and, as I said, got to play the Wii U for the first time. I did okay in my matches, taking stocks and a couple games, but got knocked out pretty quick. But, I was able to pull off the one edge guard that I was practicing all week on the 3DS against bots.

It was against a Link main, and I had trouble approaching and being able to start anything against him, but I found a hole, got in and got him off stage with a down grab into a SH fair. As he was recovering I was able to sprint off the edge and back air him into the stage, spiking him to his death.

I won this game, but unfortunately lost the next 2 games against this link. It was still an awesome time and I can't wait to practice more and being able to compete.

Taken from another post awhile back:

I've been playing since release and only just now have a main I'm fully devoted to.

I swapped a billion times always feeling something was missing either from the character or from me.

Last week, I went to my scene and randomly decided to use Mewtwo for friendlies. I didn't do so hot but since I had been using him all day I decided to continue using him through the tournament. The two guys who had been dominating me in friendly matches all day I ended up 2-0ing.

Later that day we decided to have a doubles tour as well for fun. In one match, the guy who won the singles tournament lost his partner and my own partner was out of stocks. It was just me using Mewtwo versus the guy who I had no hope of beating earlier (using Lucas) both with one stock and around 60%.

Back and forth we played tooth and nail trying to get some damage off on the other. Somehow I got him to kill percent and he made the mistake of air dodging while I was on the ground. I immediately rushed over and got a full up-smash on his Lucas and won the round.

It was the most hype I had been in a long time. I decided from that point that I loved how Mewtwo played and felt.
