Like any other sport, it is very important to have energy from the foods and beverages we consume. Some foods are good for before partakin' the event, durin', and after the event.
Now, I'm no nutrition expert, but there are some chemicals that generally have adverse effects to performance like saturated fats and some chemicals have good short-term effects like caffeine. Of course there are yar general "good foods list" like water, but I haven't seen much discussion about other great foods to optimize one's performance.
With that said, I'll give the floor to anyone's that's more nutritionally savvy than I am.
