I was wondering what the best stages for Falco is and why they're good and how to use them to your advantage.

I think one of the more important Falco stages would be Final Destination. The lack of platforms gives freedom for lasers. As we all know, lasering is an important piece of Falco's game, and one of the main reasons for his high tier placement. I'd say FD is his best stage.

For some reason, though, I like Dreamland 64 with Falco. I know he's got horrible recovery, but the stage is big enough to let you move freely. Also, the platforms make for nice wavelanding trixies.

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
Falco has no bad stages among the neutrals (yes, even FoD is fine, just play campy). Brinstar and Mute City suck, but besides that, none of the other legal stages are particularly bad for him. For top 5, here's my stage recommendations:

vs. Fox: DL64
vs. Falco: Whatever
vs. Sheik: FD
vs. Marth: DL64
vs. Peach: PS

that is all.

eh, I'll let this topic slide for now just because the search function is disabled right now. For future reference, when the search function starts working again, I remember a couple of these threads made previously.

Pokemon is Falco's overall best stage, except for the rock form. Lasers are good and the platforms really don't help your opponent get out of trouble. I prefer FoD among the neutrals, YS on Sheik, and I almost never pick FD.

Final Destination is a bad choice vs Fox or Marth, so as a rule of thumb, I usually ban it because most people play one of those two effectively.

However, even in light of that, Falco tends to dominate all the neutral stages, with Battle Field perhaps being his worst of those.

Good counter pick stages for Falco:
Jungle Japes
Corneria
Poke Floats
Green Greens is ok.

Flat stages are the best. The flatter they are the better, but beware of chain grabbing from opponents like Marth or Shiek

You do realize Sheik can't actually chain grab Falco though right?

Camping is gay. You're ****ing Falco, win with combos and **** kills.

Thanks everyone for the replies, but I'm also wondering if stages with platforms are good or bad for Falco.

Both, it depends on the matchup tbh, like for example peach can pwn you on the platforms if you jump into a dsmash and marth has rly gd reach through them.

On the flipside, if you can get your combos going you can use the platforms to chase them. ^_^

I only hate FOD because the platforms are moving, i dont mind Stadium, Dream land, Battlefield or even yoshi's story

People just have to get used to FoD. If you have strong platform play and solid spacing, FoD is very good. And yes camping is gay, but sometimes it is better than losing.

My personal favorite stage used to be FoD, but usually perform best on Pokemon Stadium or Yoshi's Story.

Get out of here, Mathos. You're the exception to the Falco rule.

Falco has a leather jacket. Leather jackets are supposed to make you reckless. Like Arthur Fonzarelli.

I hope I get to play someone just as gay in Brawl.
I'm sure you'll find somebody gay, in time.

Seriously, though, my friend thinks your style is the shiznite. He laser spams because of you, not as effectively, but we can't all be pros.

FD, FD, FD.

Any stage that helps in horizontal kills but doesn't allow for easy vertical kills is gooold for Falco.

His best tourny stages are probably FD, Dreamland and Jungle-Japes. He also has a good chance vs. everyone on Kanto imo. thats a very fun, even stage.

I don't really think jungle japes is that good of a tourney stage for falco... I mean besides movement tricks what does he really have going for him there? He can also get gayed pretty quickly. FD is a given against most characters, even against marth and fox they really only have a slight advantage against falco here, its not a terrible matchup for him. I'm actually a big fan of battlefield and YS for platform movement and combos (of course YS sucks against marth). Like most people said here it really depends on the matchup. For instance overall I would say DL64 is his best stage but I would never use it against peach for obvious recovery reasons....
