Best CPU level to train against

Since I'm unable to play online, I was wondering what the best level CPU to train against is, I'm sure alot of people will say level 9 or whateva I can keep up with, but level 9 CPUs seem unrealistic, unrealistic dodges/counters etc. Sure I can stand back and spam B moves and try gimp them.. but this is bad practice.

What level CPU level would be most realistic to an average human player if I wanted to play aggressive against them?

I always play against level 9. I was used to it after a few rounds playing against them. I think you should try level 7.

Level 8 is usually the most realistic in terms of blocking and dodging reactions. It doesn't have god like perfect shielding and reflecting going on most of the time. However, I usually train against Level 9 and try to win legit without using some dumb tactic, because the usually push my reflexes and timing to the limit, so when I face a human opponent, I've at least trained against an opponent that is beyond their abilities in that regard.

But lately I have been training with my Marth and Samus amiibos. They harder than level 8 cpus, use some tactics the cpus don't, but make more human like mistakes than level 9 cpu, so it feels like a more realistic training partner.

Amiibo AIs would be great for practice if not for the stat boosts.

They're more aggressive and less defensive then standard level 9 AIs.

Yeah, I just try to overlook that and face them as a regular opponent. It affects how much damage they can dish out and take, but their behaviors are still the closest thing to a real person. You just have to remember when they beat you that they do have that advantage. On a more positive note, it's better to have them strong and harder than you, rather than weaker, so you at least don't under train.

I'm beatin 7s pre easy, might practice against level 8s, level 9s just seem silly, no average player could react that fast in close combat haha

Human players don't have the instincts or reaction times to replicate what the CPU is capable of doing. Basically, you'd be developing bad habits that could bite you right back if you ever decide to battle someone online.

I can't play online due to living in australia, no regional restriction and all makes it unplayable for me.. thats why I wanted to find the most "human like" CPU for when I vs friends or nintendo decide to fix their online play =\

CPU level Amibo is the best if you want to learn how to play more defensively.

CPU Level 8 is the best for learning some offense.

The biggest problem with CPUS in general is that they have a very ****ty offense, but their defense game is good. Amibo's learn to play more offensively from you, but their boosted stats mean that you'll have to play defensively since they tend to develop god LIke reflexes that you will see a level 9 CPU use. But at least you'll learn more about punishing from amibos.

But I really don't recommend playing against the CPUS for extended periods of time, since you will form bad habits against them. If it is possible, try having some friends come over to play.
